Martin Frommelt | Enamel
Martin Frommelt believes working in enamel means 'painting' burned onto copper.
Over the decades in which he has been involved with this technique he has come up with a very liberal interpretation of the physical laws governing enamel work. He is intrigued by the very intractability of the material and the interaction of controlled and coincidental creation processes as the glass powder melts during burning.
Martin Frommelt sees enamel design as an extension of his creative possibilities in painting and he refuses to be typecast into a specific genre by technical conditions.
